Arts & Culture | Call to Artists

The Pouch Cove Sculpture Garden committee has chosen Water Music by Don Foulds as the selected candidate for installation at Shoe Cove pond. The Town looks forward to having this piece installed in April, weather permitting.

Pouch Cove Public Art is a volunteer committee that seeks to curate and encourage art in the public realm. They have recently launched the Pouch Cove Sculpture Garden Public Art Project to install a piece at Shoe Cove Pond Park.

Creating opportunities for artists in the public realm the Pouch Cove Sculpture Garden Public Art Project aims to place art in public places and foster an appreciation for art in public space. Funded by Memorial University’s Public Engagement Accelerator Fund and supported by the Town of Pouch Cove the Public Art Project invites artists to submit proposals for a piece of artwork to be reviewed by the Public Art Committee and displayed in Shoe Cove Pond Park.

Interested artists should submit an Expression of Interest and any questions to [email protected]. The Town of Pouch Cove will work with the selected artist for site preparation and installation.
