The Town of Pouch Cove is partnering with Nurture Through Nature to bring you this unique Sylvotheraphy & Plant Medicine Workshop.
Sylvotherapy, also known as forest therapy or forest bathing, originates from the Latin word sylva meaning “forest” and combines it with “therapy,” indicating a healing approach through nature. The practice encourages individuals to immerse themselves in natural environments, using all their senses to connect with trees, plants, and the forest atmosphere.
This workshop will focus specifically on the medicinal properties and preparation of Pine Cone Syrup and each participant will be making a personal batch of syrup to take home with them at the end of the workshop. The workshop with open with barefoot walking, awakening the breath and the senses, followed by the syrup education and production process, and closing with a tea ceremony and Newfoundland dessert.
