Braggs lane
The Braggs Lane project is progressing well and is on track to be completed during the end of June. We thank residents for their ongoing patience and are looking forward to the immense improvements this work has provided for the community.
Water Hydrant Replacement
Water hydrant replacement begins June 12. This funded project will allow for the essential work of replacing hydrants throughout our community. Specific details on locations and potential water shut offs will be shared with the community by the end of this week (June 9).
Community Garden
The Community Garden is preparing for a great growing season. Work has begun to have a water line directly to the garden and The Community Garden Committee has been taking registrations for those interested in securing a bed. Thank you to the Community Garden Committee for the efforts to get this work started.
Kiddie Park Fence Repair
The fence for the north end of the Kiddie Park on the corner of Gruchy’s Hill is being repaired and improved for safety. We remind residents that during this work, the park is closed to all visitors. Thank you to the Lion’s Club for their partnership in this work.
Accessible Lookout
The Accessible Lookout project behind the town hall building is beginning this month. This project, with funding through grants, will create a beautiful and accessible community hub for watching whales, gathering for a picnic, or just enjoying our beautiful coastline. Watch for further details on this project later this month as we prepare for the grand opening.
Multipurpose Court
This summer, the Town of Pouch Cove will be creating a multipurpose Court on Satellite Road. This tremendous community resource will allow residents of all ages to enjoy fun and healthy outdoor recreation. Work is beginning this month with preparing the area and installation will happen later this summer.
